Ships Passing: The fallout of falling in to bed - For Arthur
Eames had roused when Arthur started moving, though he wasn't even close to ready to get out of bed. The beauty of things was, it wasn't as if he could be seen going in at the same time as the point man, so he merely dragged the blanket half over his head and pretended to sleep.
He lay there, listening to Arthur move around the room, crawling out long enough to kiss him and mumble about seeing him later in the day.
Except Eames never came in. No call. Just a text saying all was good, explain later. He said nothing though when he came in the day after, two days worth of stubble and looking downright worn and weary as he dropped down at his desk.

Body jerking and then slumping slightly over Arthur. "My God, so sexy," he groaned.

"You okay, love?"

He pressed his nose against Eames' neck and inhaled slowly before pressing his lips to that same skin.

"Do remember to breathe, Love."

Which, that very thought, scared the hell out of him.
"So why can't I hold you like this while working," he teased suddenly.
no subject
He chuckled at the question and looked up at him. "Because that wouldn't be telling at all," he teased. "And, we have to get some kind of work done."
no subject
But he knew he would let them lead them. They had to. For both their sakes.

"Think I might have to work standing up for part of the day tomorrow," he mused, pressing a kiss to Eames' neck.
no subject
"I only mention it because she'll be watching you so..." It might mean seeing things others might not.
Oh but he chuckled at that. "Should I feel bad," he asked, his voice making it obvious he didn't. Not at all.

Ariadne was talented, intelligent and sweet but he was, and had been, far more interested in the man sitting right here than anyone else.
"Mm, no -- no, you definitely shouldn't," he said with a chuckle.

Of course, that wasn’t his only concern. The other is one he isn’t sure about voicing and wasn’t even certain if he should bring it up but, in the end, he knew that he couldn’t let it come between them either way.
“You and her… You weren’t planning on hooking up with her, were you? I mean, if you were… I don’t want to get between that if you were planning on it,” he said, not quite rushing through the words, or tensing up, but it was obvious he was worried. “I mean, not like I’ve got a claim on you or anything, right?”

Arthur's eyebrows drew together at the question. He could tell that it was something that was worrying Eames and that wasn't what Arthur wanted. He didn't want Eames to worry about something like that. "Eames, we wouldn't be here, doing this right now if she was what I wanted," he said, his voice firm. "She's cute but she's not what I want."
no subject
“Look, I didn’t mean that to come off as sounding as much as a dick as I probably did. I just figure I have to accept that you might just be happy with things and…” And he knew he was fucking this up and he knew it.
“Just… making sure, I guess. And if you want to get ticked and hit me, I accept that,” he said, slumping a little bit he couldn’t have handled that worse if he’d even wanted to try.
no subject
"I'm just telling you now that if she's what I wanted, we wouldn't be here, right now, naked on my couch." Arthur looked at him and gave him a stern look that was equal parts playful and serious. "Do I need to make it any more clear?"
no subject
"No. You don't have to. I get it," he said with a nod. "You and me, we have this thing right here and us and it doesn't have shit to do with her. Or anyone else."
no subject
He slid his hand along Eames' neck and pulled his mouth in for a slow and soft kiss. After a minute, he pulled back and smiled. "It's just us," he agreed.
no subject
Trust was something he was learning but if he was going to have it with anyone, it would be with Arthur. "Just us," he agreed barely breaking the kiss.
no subject
"Stop," he said. "I mean, I questioned you this morning. Obviously, this is new for the both of us," he said, his voice soft against Eames' mouth.
no subject
"So, what? Two days and we're exclusive," he asked. The way he asked didn't make it sound like that was a bad thing.

Arthur had feelings. Lots of them.
I adore his feelings! All the feelings. Always!
All the feelings forever!
And evers!
