It had felt like too much time had passed since they were last together in Los Angeles after Inception. They had of course communicated through text, email and phone calls but that was hardly the same as being in the same room (or place) with the forger. Normally, he wasn't the sort to think about those things but after all they've been through, Arthur felt he was allowed it.

As with everything in their lives, Arthur enjoyed turning the tables on the Forger. The push and pull of their relationship was rather normal if he was honest. As with everything else that had changed, the tone changed in their relationship. It was no longer the heated (perhaps slightly bitter) exchange. Now, it was heated in a much different way.

Arthur nodded and followed him down the hall. "Actually looking forward to this vacation," he said with a smile.
